"The fascinating thing about the Tyrells is that they are a secret matriarchy. The men tend to be handsome dopes, and the women are the brains behind the operation."

"I was composing a song and I had a pencil, but not an eraser. So I went to a convenience store to buy one. I didn’t know how to say eraser (in Japanese), so I said “pencil’s friend."

"Kit was, I think… the priest who married my parents was called Kit and I think they kind of just really liked him and his name, so that’s where it came from. I didn’t know my name was Christopher until I was 11 and I was at school and you have to fill out these entrance exams to see what set you’re in and I put down Kit Harington and they went, ‘That’s not your name!’ And [I said], ‘I think I’d know.’ And they went, ‘No, your name’s Christopher.’ And I was like, ‘What?’ So I went home and had a stern talk with my mum."

"I’ve always agreed with William Faulkner—he said that the human heart in conflict with itself is the only thing worth writing about. I’ve always taken that as my guiding principle, and the rest is just set dressing. I mean, you can have a dragon, you can have a science fiction story set on a distant planet with aliens and starships, you can have a western about a gunslinger, or a mystery novel about a private eye, or even literary fiction—and ultimately you’re still writing about the human heart in conflict with itself."

PETER TRAVERS: You said, "Men are scared of a strong, confident vagina."
MEGAN FOX: Oh, well, that I think is true...I feel like men are raised with the idea that they have to be the bread winners, or they have to always be in control; they have to always "wear the pants" in a relationship, or all these ridiculous idioms, these things that go along with being a 'man'. I feel like it's hard for them to know how to handle you when you are as smart or as successful because for some reason women have been painted as these fragile little lilies that have to be tended to, that have to be cared for. I just think that it's the way that society has raised us.
PETER TRAVERS: If I said--if I reversed that quote and said that women are scared of a strong, confident penis, would that be right or wrong?
MEGAN FOX: [laughing] ...That's really offensive. Like, I'm so offended that you just said that--if you were to say it.
"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."
