It can be amazing and terrifying and painful and wonderful at the same time, because it’s where everything changes. It’s when you go through such immense hormonal change. It’s the years where you discover love and experiment and go out without people knowing! It’s quite a crazy time. Skins does show that - it’s very, very exaggerated, but it is true in the fact that any adolescent’s life is going to be crazy no matter what they do because generally being an adolescent is such an insane process.
